Wri-Fi

Ok so the title of a blog isn’t usually anything special enough to write up a “about the title” page, but I figured I should share anyway.

The above video is Regina Spektor, one of my favorite singer/songwriters/musicians.  If there’s anything more important to me than writing, it might just be music.  But they both make up large portions of my life.

Anyway.  Whet I first heard this song, it made me think of writing.  Whether its writing songs/lyrics or anything else is besides the point.  Its a concept that I’ve been playing with for awhile that some of us writers get our ideas from a power source we can’t explain.  How I get my “ideas” I don’t even want to call ideas.  They’re more like memories.

So I remembered this song as I was trying to think of a blog title.  I decided I really needed to look up “fidelity” to make sure I had a good grasp on it.  Fidelity couldn’t be a better word, really, for my whole theory.

When I saw “Wi-Fi” on the Wiki page, I instantly knew what I was going to name the blog.  Its too perfect, and a fun play on words 🙂

So there it is, more or less.
